Program Overview:
One Minute Tricks is short-form, “how-to” content specifically programmed to be used on the go, offering the client a choice of magic tricks to download directly to their cellular phone, iPod or PDA.
One Minute Tricks website is a video library for magic tricks where audiences can learn how to do their favorite tricks in a minute or less. The downloadable tricks will feature a magician performing a simple magic trick using everyday items and then offer the audience the tips on how to perform the trick for others. Each trick’s secret will be detailed out into simple to replicate steps and reinforced through video and graphics.
These would be complemented with a series of funny and kitschy interactive videos that show the positive effects of using simple magic tricks as a method to impress and then gives the audience the tools to make the trick their own. From getting the girl to impressing the boss, each video will feature our main character in a different scenario where a magic trick comes in handy. Once the scene is complete, we will take the audience back to see how it was done through different camera angles and perspectives, the lesson will be taught as we re-watch the trick. So, not only will the audience learn the magic but they will also learn how to use the trick to help them impress.
A blog or comment section would accompany the videos on the website in order for audiences to share their own stories about how magic has worked for them. At home magicians would also be allowed to submit potential tricks that would be produced into future episodes to see how they would do on our main characters quest to impress.
The site would also feature weekly tips and exercises to make a trick better. Whether that be through exercises that make your slight of hand better or tips like keeping eye contact and methods for distracting your audience.
