“The Hairpist” brings hair and therapy together in an hour long reality series which will entertain and inspire audiences to transform their lives.For most women (and some men) a good hairdresser is their most important ally. Part beauty consultant, part confidante, part therapist, any one who has had a good hairdresser knows that a new “you” isn’t just about cut and color; it involves mental and emotional well-being as well.
In this series, renowned hair stylist Paul Labrecque treats both women and men to a full Hairapy session. Plus personal growth. We will watch as his personalized approach effects change in his subjects, both inside and out.
The show
A weekly hour long show, Hairapist is a fun, hip reality series focused on people whose stories are compelling and rich. Each episode we will meet a “hair patient” who needs a new look and has a problem that needs to be addressed. They will discuss their issues with their hair and their life and be prescribed a remedy consisting of spa treatments, hair cuts and color, and makeup.
But for Paul, it’s not just about the hair, it’s about transforming yourself. So, through the process, he talks with them to find out the root of their problems. Through anecdotes, life lessons, and some much needed laughter, his “patients” leave feeling empowered after tackling the issues of love, work, and life in general. Paul makes them look and feel good with a touch of style, class and wisdom!

In addition to his salons, he also has a hair care line specially designed for different hair types which is distributed internationally.
His personality is quirky and fun, but don’t cross his path the wrong way or there will be serious repercussions. He is a stern boss but a great talent and assistants line up at the chance to learn from the best.
From celebrities to fashion shows, when it comes to hair he has done it all and he has the stories to prove it. From complaining models and bad hair days to life lessons, his anecdotes are funny and compelling and will keep people interested.
